Yatesbury is currently a small village between Cherhill and Avebury with just a handful of houses. In the past, however, it hosted a shire horse breeding centre and and RAF base. As a result it is known to many people all over England. There are also a number of War Graves, many of them of foreign pilots based locally who died in the Second World War.
